Fees

CultureWorks gives you great value for your money. Your tuition fees include 25 hours of class per week, all Canadian Studies activities and access to campus facilities. You also have 24-hour a day access to the computer lab, your own personal e-mail account, access to student visa assistance and free placement testing.

Announcing our new term schedule for September 2012:

As of September, our school year will consist of three 4-month terms. 2012 tuition will remain the same per week.

We are also pleased to announce that starting September 2012, our tuition deposit will be reduced to $1,200.00 CAD ($200 non-refundable) and will be required when we receive a student's university or college letter of conditional acceptance.

The payment and confirmation deadline for September 2012 is June 7th.

Students joining us in January and April 2012 will begin their studies using our current system.

There is no application fee for CultureWorks, however we require a deposit to secure your space in the program. You can pay your deposit via wire transfer, cheque or bank draft. If payment is made by wire transfer you will be charged bank fees.

You will also require medical coverage while you're studying at CultureWorks. This may be purchased before you leave your home country or at CultureWorks when you arrive. The current cost is $2.00 per day.

Payment Policies and Details

Tuition

CultureWorks’ policy is to invoice for two terms at a time. You will be invoiced prior to your arrival. Full payment of January and April 2012 invoices are required six weeks prior to the beginning of school. If you are studying with CultureWorks for longer than two terms, you will be invoiced again during Week 6 of your second term. Full payment of that invoice will be due in Week 8 of your second term. CultureWorks cannot accept monthly payments.

Please note: beginning with the September 2012 term, payment of pre-arrival invoices will be required 12 weeks prior of the start of the term (e.g. payment due June 7th for September's start date).

Homestay/Roomstay or Dormitory

Students requiring Homestay/Roomstay or dormitory accommodations are required to pay a one-time non-refundable placement fee of $225 and three months of accommodation fees before they arrive. Students who cancel their requests for Homestay/Roomstay or dormitory will be charged a 30 day penalty. Homestay/Roomstay fees may be refunded at the discretion of the CultureWorks program.

Refund Policies

CultureWorks offers fair refund policies that are in line with refund policies for universities, colleges and other ESL schools. We will work with any student or potential student on an individual basis to ensure that our refund policy is upheld in all instances.

Once you have paid your deposit of one month of tuition, if you choose not to study at CultureWorks as anticipated, there will be a $500.00 CAD non-refundable charge. You will be refunded the remainder of your deposit.

Students currently studying at CultureWorks who choose to leave the program must give notice of leaving no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday of Week 1 of the term. These students will receive the remainder of their tuition paid, minus $200.00 CAD. Students who decide to leave the program later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday of Week 1 will not receive a refund for that term.

Students must give written notice of their decision to leave CultureWorks. This written notice may be sent by email. A cheque will be prepared for the tuition refund. All refunds must be requested within six months of leaving.

Students who enroll in the CultureWorks program with the help of an agent must contact the agent directly for a refund of any commission fees already paid.

Medical Insurance

All students attending CultureWorks must have medical insurance.  Students may purchase this insurance in their home countries or through the school.  Students who purchase their own policies will be asked to provide proof of medical insurance when registering. Medical insurance purchased through CultureWorks is non-refundable.
