Payment Policies and Details
Tuition
If you are studying for six months or less, full payment is required during your first week with us. If you are studying for more than six months, we will require a payment of six months of tuition during your first week and a second payment during the fifth month of study for the remainder of your tuition. Unfortunately, CultureWorks ESL cannot accept monthly payments.
Homestay or Dormitory
Students requiring homestay or dormitory accommodations are required to pay for three months of accommodation fees before they arrive. Students who cancel their requests for homestay or dormitory will be charged a $775.00 penalty. Homestay fees may be refunded at the discretion of the CultureWorks program.
Refund Policies
CultureWorks offers fair refund policies that are in line with refund policies for universities and other ESL schools. We will work with any student or potential student on an individual basis to ensure the our refund policy is upheld in all instances.
Students who are denied a study permit will have their deposit refunded when we receive documentation from the Canadian Embassy.
Students who would like to leave the program and receive a refund of their tuition fees must give notice no later than the fifth day of the term. These students will then receive a 100% refund for that term, less $200 for administrative fees. Students who decide to leave the program later than the fifth day of the term will not be refunded for that term.
Written notice is required (email is acceptable) to CultureWorks. The tuition refund will be given two weeks after the written notice is received and refunds must be requested within six months of cancellation.
Students who enrol in the CultureWorks program with the help of an agent must contact the agent directly for a refund of any commission fees paid.
Medical Insurance
All students attending CultureWorks must have medical insurance. Students may purchase this insurance in their home countries or through the school. Students who purchase their own policies will be asked to provide proof of medical insurance when registering.
